Laroxy Designs is a Johannesburg-based illustration brand built on a lifelong love for drawing, storytelling, and imaginative worlds. From a young age, Laroxy has been drawn to creating whimsical characters and capturing small, magical moments through art. Although she briefly studied game design, the shift brought on by the pandemic led her down a more independent, self-taught path — one guided by curiosity, consistency, and a deep passion for creativity.

Working across both digital and traditional mediums, particularly watercolour, her work moves fluidly between charming, cat-filled original worlds and vibrant fanart inspired by the anime and games she loves. Over time, her illustrations have developed into a distinctive style that feels soft, playful, and emotionally warm — often capturing a sense of quiet magic in everyday life.

Over the past few years, Laroxy has actively grown her presence through conventions, creative communities, and personal challenges that have shaped her artistic voice. Notably, participating in the Kimodameshi challenges and Drawtober 2024 marked a turning point in her work, where she fully embraced her signature whimsical cat illustrations and leaned deeper into storytelling through design.

Since 2025, streaming her art process has become a key part of her journey, allowing her to connect with a wider audience while expanding her creative offerings. This has naturally led into designing stream-related elements such as emotes, panels, and backgrounds — blending her illustration style with functional, personality-driven content for creators.

Every piece created under Laroxy Designs reflects a hands-on, thoughtful process — from concept to final detail — resulting in work that is not only visually engaging but also deeply personal. At its heart, the brand is about creating art that feels comforting, expressive, and just a little bit magical.
